In a recent article, the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED) focused on the work of Local Initiatives Support Corporation’s Financial Opportunity Centers. Financial Opportunity Centers (FOCs) advise low-income people on their finances and help them to get the public benefits to which they are entitled, to build their access to credit, and to obtain and keep jobs. By bundling services, FOCs have been able to support low-income individuals and families in becoming more economically secure.
